Als institutioneller Investor besteht unsere treuhänderische Pflicht darin, stets im besten Interesse unserer Anleger und Begünstigten zu handeln und unseren Kunden dabei zu helfen, das Marktpotenzial zu nutzen, um ihre Anlageziele zu erreichen.

Unsere Engagement-Aktivitäten konzentrieren sich auf Unternehmen, die schwerwiegend und systematisch gegen die Prinzipien des United Nations Global Compact oder andere internationale Übereinkommen in den Bereichen Menschenrechte, Arbeitsnormen, Umwelt und Korruptionsbekämpfung verstoßen. Wir sind aktive Mitglieder von Initiativen wie der Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC), den United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI), dem Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), der Access to Medicine Foundation sowie Climate Action 100+.

Innerhalb dieser Mitgliedschaften identifizieren und priorisieren wir unsere kollaborativen Engagement-Aktivitäten, behalten jedoch die volle Verantwortung für sämtliche Engagement-Maßnahmen. Fokussierte Stimmrechtsausübung im Einklang mit unseren Engagement-Grundsätzen

Der Umfang der Stimmrechtsausübung umfasst Unternehmen, bei denen aggregierte Positionen mindestens eine der folgenden vier Bedingungen erfüllen:

  1. Bestandteil eines Artikel-9-SFDR-Fonds (systematisch) oder ausgewählter Artikel-8-SFDR-Fonds (Einzelfallentscheidung zur Stimmabgabe);
  2. qualitative Bewertung der relativen Bedeutung der Abstimmung;
  3. ad-hoc-Anfrage; oder
  4. Anforderungen aufgrund lokaler Marktregulierungen.

Diese Kriterien stellen sicher, dass wir unsere Anstrengungen auf Positionen konzentrieren, die einen wesentlichen Anteil unseres verwalteten Vermögens ausmachen, und dass wir effizient und wirkungsvoll an den Hauptversammlungen der Unternehmen teilnehmen, an denen unsere kollektiven Anlagevehikel eine bedeutende Beteiligung halten.

Unser Ansatz zu Ausschlüssen und ESG-Risikomanagement

Wir schließen Unternehmen aus, wenn wir ein klares Risiko erkennen, dass sie zu wesentlichen ESG-Themen beitragen oder darin involviert sind, die wir als schädlich oder potenziell schädlich erachten, die unseren Werten widersprechen oder gegen internationale Gesetze, Normen oder Übereinkommen verstoßen. Diese Ausschlüsse gelten ausschließlich für börsennotierte Aktien auf der Long-Seite unserer Portfolios; in unseren alternativen Strategien können diese Titel jedoch gegebenenfalls leerverkauft werden.

Unsere Ausschlussliste kombiniert Erkenntnisse externer Datenanbieter mit unserer eigenen internen Analyse. Ein Unternehmen kann aufgrund eines oder mehrerer Themen ausgeschlossen werden, wobei jede Ausschlussentscheidung sorgfältig von unserem Responsible Investment Committee geprüft wird. Wir wenden Ausschlüsse in zwei Hauptbereichen an:

• Kontroverses Geschäftsgebaren, das gegen internationale Normen oder unsere Werte verstößt, wie etwa Verletzungen der Prinzipien des UN Global Compact (UNGC) oder der OECD-Leitsätze für multinationale Unternehmen

• Umsätze aus schädlichen Aktivitäten, die negative Auswirkungen auf Gesellschaft oder Umwelt haben

Dabei werden drei Kategorien berücksichtigt:

○ Energie und fossile Brennstoffe
