Emmanuel Hauptmann is CIO and Head of Systematic at RAM AI. He co-founded the company in 2007 and has led the development of the firm’s systematic investment and AI platform since.

Emmanuel started his quant career within Morgan Stanley’s London Institutional Equities Division in 2002, then joined Citigroup in 2004 where he was a Director in the Quantitative Research department.

Emmanuel holds an MSc in Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris, an MSc in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics and a BSc in Economics from Sorbonne university.

Fabio Vanerio joined RAM AI in 2021 and is Lead Fund Manager for the RAM Strata Credit Fund.

Fabio has more than 20 years of investment experience and previously worked at Cairn Capital, Hermes and Moody's.

Fabio graduated from Milan's Bocconi University.

Hasan Aslan joined RAM Active Investments in 2017 as a Portfolio Manager specializing in Multi-Asset solutions. He leads strategic and tactical asset allocation for cross-asset investment vehicles, leveraging his extensive experience across market cycles and RAM’s deep expertise in equity and credit markets. The investment solutions he oversees include UCITS formats, as well as Advisory and Discretionary mandates, tailored to meet a diverse range of client needs.

Throughout his career, Hasan has developed extensive expertise in traditional and alternative investments, risk management, and operations. Before joining RAM, he served as co-Head of the Alternative Investment Department at Reyl & Cie, where he was instrumental in launching and managing several funds. Previously, he worked as a Portfolio Manager at Santander Asset Management, where he specialized in hedge fund portfolio management for advisory and discretionary accounts tailored to select institutional investors. Hasan began his career at UBS in the Commercial Clients Department, gaining valuable experience in client relations.

Hasan Aslan holds a Master’s degree in Monetary and Financial Economics, as well as a 'Diplôme d’Études Approfondies' (DEA) in Economics and Finance, both from the University of Geneva. He also earned a Minor in Information Systems and is a Certified Investment Fund Director (CIFD).

Léopold Coupet joined RAM Active Investments in April 2022 and currently works as a quantitative analyst in the Systematic team.

Since joining RAM, he has been dedicated to quantitative research and development, making a significant contribution to the company's advancements in systematic interest rate investments.

Léopold graduated from the financial engineering program at EPFL.

Louis-Alexandre Piquet joined RAM Active Investments in October 2019 and is currently a Quantitative Researcher on the Systematic Equities team.

He graduated from CentraleS upélec with a degree in Applied Mathematics in 2018 and earned a Master’s in Financial Engineering from EPFL in 2019.

Nicolas Jamet is Senior Fund Manager at RAM AI’s Systematic team since 2016. He co-manages the systematic equity funds, working on the development of low-frequency systematic investment strategies. He is involved in enhancing AI infrastructure, incorporating sustainability into the fund range and contributes as a member of the Responsible Investment Committee.

Nicolas started his career as Portfolio Manager at Société Générale Hong Kong in 2006 and joined Macquarie Group to run a global fundamental quantitative book in 2011. In 2012, Nicolas co-founded Fundamental Dynamics, a hedge fund managing long/short global equity strategies for an institutional mandate.

Nicolas graduated in 2005 as a Business Engineer from the ICHEC Brussels Management School and in 2015, he became a CFA Charterholder.

Tian collaborates closely with Equity Portfolio Managers to design and implement innovative investment strategies. His primary focus lies in developing advanced Machine Learning models that integrate diverse structured and unstructured datasets to enhance alpha prediction. Recently, his efforts have concentrated on fine-tuning Large Language Models for feature extraction and return forecasting. Beyond his research, Tian contributes to the broader Machine Learning community as a reviewer for prestigious conferences such as ICLR, NeurIPS, and ICML.

Tian joined RAM AI in August 2019, bringing a strong academic background from his tenure at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ETH Zurich, where he served as a post-doctoral Scientist from 2017 to 2019. During this time, his research focused on interpretable Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, automated Machine Learning, multi-task learning and transfer learning. Earlier, from 2012 to 2017, Tian pursued his doctoral studies as a Research Assistant at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), where he worked on neural networks for temporal data, streaming data mining, and distributed Machine Learning. In 2015, he further broadened his expertise by contributing to NEC Laboratories Europe as a member of the Network Data Analytics Research Group.

Tian holds PhD in Computer Science from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Tian graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and the East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST). Tian has an impressive publication record, with contributions to some of the most prestigious conferences in Machine Learning and Data Mining.

Valentin Betrix is Senior Fund Manager at RAM AI’s Systematic team since 2013. He co-manages the various equity funds, focusing on developing systematic investment strategies across both low-frequency and mid-frequency approaches. He also contributes to trading analytics, rebalancing methodology and execution enhancement.

Valentin started his career at BNP Paribas as Corporate Finance Analyst and joined Alpstar Capital as Quantitative Analyst/Trader in 2007.

Valentin graduated as an Engineer from École des Mines and as an Actuary from Institut de Science Financière et d'Assurances in 2006.

Vincent Ollivier joined RAM Active Investments in June 2021 and is currently Credit Portfolio Manager for all credit strategies.

Vincent previously worked as a Fixed Income Junior Portfolio Manager for Groupe Financier de Gestion (GFG), an asset manager based in Monaco and worked in Portfolio Management at UBS AG in Monaco and at BNP Paribas in Paris.

Vincent obtained a Master in Management and an MSc in Corporate Finance from EDHEC Business School in Nice in 2016.

Alexandre Wolf is Senior Business Development Director responsible for the distribution of RAM AI funds in Germany, Austria, and the Benelux region. He is part of Mediobanca Management Company SA and is based in Luxembourg.

Alexandre started his career in the Asset Management industry in 2001 at Candriam (formely Dexia Asset Management) as an institutional sales manager and has since always been active in business development for specialist asset management companies. Before joining us, Alexandre was head of sales at Greiff Capital Management AG in Germany.

Alexandre holds a Master’s degree in Finance - Business Engineering in Banking, Finance, Insurance from Paris X University.

Clare’s role at RAM AI developed into Head of Product Management in June 2023 having originally been employed in October 2021 in a Client Services role. As Head of Product Management, Clare chairs the regular Product Management meetings and liaises with the key stakeholders and service providers to coordinate and manage the firm’s existing fund range and project manage upcoming launches.

Clare has over 20 years of experience in the industry, having worked for both small specialist boutiques and multi-billion dollar fund managers. Starting her career in 2001, Clare joined a small fund of funds in a Client Services role. Clare then joined Armajaro Asset Management in 2004 to Head their Investor Service department. In 2010, she joined Winton Capital Management as senior vice president of Investor Services. Clare’s role expanded as Head of Investor Service Operations at Winton Fund Management Limited before taking a short career break and consulting contract for Perspective Investments in 2019.

Clare graduated from the University of Central England with a BA(Hons) in Business and Finance.

Within RAM AI and Mediobanca Management Company, Cyrille oversees the distribution of RAM funds in France and Switzerland to professional and institutional investors. He also oversees the Investor Relations department.

He started his career in 2006 as an RFP writer and business development support at J.P. Morgan Asset Management in the UK and in Switzerland. He joined RAM AI in 2011.

Cyrille graduated from the University of Geneva and holds a MA in Computational Linguistics and in Arabic Studies. He is a holder of the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and of the CIWM (Certified International Wealth Manager).

Within RAM AI and Mediobanca Management Company, Eleonora Biella is currently the Head of Institutional and Wholesale Italy for RAM AI products.

Eleonora has gained experience in previous roles at Goldman Sachs in London as a sales representative for structured products and at Prysmian Group in Milan in the Finance & Controlling area.

Eleonora holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (2004) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Corporate Finance from Bocconi University in Milan.

Frank Goasguen joined RAM AI's Board in 2018 and assumed the role of CEO in February 2023. He leads the firm's Executive Committee and is directly responsible for overseeing its infrastructure and commercial activities.

Frank Goasguen has had an international career, beginning at BNP Paribas, where he specialised in Asset Management around the turn of the century. He later became Global Head of Sales at ABN AMRO Asset Management, before taking on the role of Partner & COO at TT International in London. In 2017, he joined the Mediobanca Group as Head of Alternative Asset Management.

Frank Goasguen holds a dual master’s degree in Technology and Business Administration from Université Paris-Dauphine - PSL.

Gianluca is Head of Retail Sales Italy and is responsible for sales activities for the retail channel in Italy.

Gianluca started his career at DWS Investments (Deutsche Bank Group) in 2010 initially within the Sales & Marketing Support team, moving then to the sales team for the retail channel in Italy. Gianluca then moved to Invesco Asset Management as Sales & Relationship Manager Retail for Italy, contributing to the growth of the Retail channel. In 2015 Gianluca moved to Pictet Asset Management as Sales Manager with responsibility for the Italian Retail market. Before joining RAM AI, Gianluca was Head of Business Development for Italy for Sempione SIM, a small boutique active in asset management and investment consulting. Gianluca joined RAM Active Investments in February 2019.

Gianluca holds a degree in Business Management with a specialization in Corporate Finance from the University of Pavia. Gianluca speaks Italian and English.

Kristen Pinner joined RAM Active Investments in July 2022 and is currently Marketing & Communications Officer.

She has previously worked in Scientific Communications as part of the R&D team at H&H Group in Geneva and as Digital Content & Account Executive at Digital Messaging Company in London.

In 2019, she obtained a BMus in Music Performance and Music Management from the University of West London and an MSc in Digital Marketing Leadership from the University of Aberdeen in 2023.

Peter Stiefel joined RAM Active Investments in November 2023 and is responsible for the distribution of RAM funds in Switzerland.

He began his career undertaking several roles at the UBS Investment Bank in New York and Geneva for 22 years, then was responsible for fund distribution in Switzerland and Liechtenstein at Alliance-Bernstein for 11 years. He later became the Country Head for Switzerland at Gonet La Française Advisors, followed by his position as senior sales at Muzinich & Co.

He is a certified board member of the Rochester-Bern University, a graduate of the Swiss Finance Institute’s Executive Program and the CAS in Asset Management.

Ramzy Chahboun joined RAM Active Investments in June 2024 as Client Services Officer, managing client queries, creating detailed fund presentations, computing financial statistics, and preparing tailored, specific reports for clients to meet their unique requirements.

Ramzy started his career as an Assistant Portfolio Manager intern at Barclays, where he gained experience in portfolio analysis and investment management.

Ramzy graduated with a Master's degree in Finance, specialising in Data Science, from HEC Lausanne.

Aleksandar Tasevski joined RAM Active Investments in November 2022 and is currently a Data Engineer. His professional expertise includes designing and building robust data models, implementing DevOps solutions, and developing data pipelines and dashboards using a variety of technologies.

Previously, he held positions at Nasdaq (New York), Expedia (Geneva), Mediterranean Shipping Company (Geneva), Lumrisk (Nyon), and Telekom Austria (Vienna), where he contributed significantly to data management and cloud migration projects.

Currently, he is pursuing an MSc in Data Science & AI at the University of London and holds certifications in Azure, AWS, and Databricks.

Charles Boulanger joined RAM Active Investments in December 2013. He evolves within the Middle Office, mainly on Operational and Assets part of the Funds.

After taking a gap-year in school to serve as Treasury & Risk Arbitrage Fund Manager Assistant at OFI AM, Charles started his full-time career in 2010, as Equity Fund Manager Assistant at 1818 Gestion in Paris. He then joined Mandarine Gestion as a trading support and officer of the middle office. In 2012 he moved to AXA IM to become a business analyst. Charles Boulanger joined RAM Active Investments in December 2013.

Charles Boulanger graduated in 2010, with a Master II degree in Finance from the Clermont-Ferrand Graduate School of Management.

Cristiano Cardoso is in charge of the Middle Office team, primarily the funds administration duties. He actively participates in the liquidation, restructuring and launch of the RAM Funds. Furthermore, he also fulfills a supporting function to the Chief Compliance Officer for trades monitoring. He is also Member of the Social Responsible Investment Committee

Cristiano Cardoso started his career in January 2005 as a Fund Administrator at Capital International in Geneva, in charge of performing daily cash and portfolio reconciliations, settlement issues, NAV review and financial statements preparation. Cristiano Cardoso joined RAM Active Investments in October 2008.

Cristiano Cardoso is a graduate of the Ecole de Commerce Nicolas-Bouvier in Geneva and holds a CFC d’Employé de Commerce.

Daniel Lopes joined RAM AI in 2019 and is currently the IT and Cybersecurity Director. He oversees technology operations, ensuring they align with company goals, and tailors technology solutions to meet evolving business needs. Daniel develops metrics for hardware, software, and storage, leads the procurement of cost-effective technological solutions, and manages relationships with vendors and service providers. Additionally, he plans and implements security measures, designs secure IT infrastructure, monitors network activity, and enforces security policies to safeguard the organization’s data and systems.

Before joining RAM AI, Daniel Lopes gained extensive experience in the IT sector. He worked as a consultant for private banks and large industry companies, provided ICT services for the Swiss SMEs sector, and served as an IT Security Architect for a large agribusiness company. Additionally, Daniel has experience as a system and network administrator in a private bank.

Daniel holds a Federal Certificate of Competence in computer science and certifications such as CCNA and PRINCE2, along with other product-specific certifications.

Danilo Banfi is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in the financial sector. He joined RAM AI in August 2022 as Senior Software Developer.

Prior to this, he held a similar position at LumRisk SA in Nyon. His expertise spans various domains, including software development and electronics, where he made significant contributions during his tenure at EPFL and CERN.

Danilo holds a PhD in particle physics from Milano University, underscoring his strong academic background and analytical prowess.

Marina joined RAM AI in September 2018 and is currently the Head of HR.

Marina started her career at Dryden Wealth Management Ltd, where she was responsible for the various Office Management and Human Resources aspects until the integration into the Fortis Group. She then joined Banque SYZ & Co SA, where she worked as an Assistant in the Mutual Fund division and subsequently as an Executive Assistant for one of the founders of the Bank. In 2012, Marina moved to Zurich and joined H.B. Fuller Europe GmbH as HR Coordinator and Office Manager. During her time with H.B. Fuller Europe, Marina gained extensive experience in the international Human Resources management.

Marina holds a Master Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University of Bologna as well as the Certificate of Human Resources Assistant from the Human Resources Swiss Exams.

Nella Musso joined RAM Active Investments SA in August 2022 as Executive Assistant & Office Manager.

She possesses more than 30 years of experience handling administrative tasks and has held positions at international companies including Exact Sciences International and Eastman Kodak Company.

Vincent Damasceno joined RAM Active Investments in May 2022 and is currently Risk & Middle Officer.

He previously worked as Portfolio Manager assistant at La Financière de l’Europe in Paris.

In 2017, he obtained a Master 1 from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and in 2021, he obtained a MSc in Financial Technology and Markets from Toulouse Business School.

Yann Le Tallec joined RAM AI as Senior Technology Consultant in June 2024. He manages the IT department with a focus on developing software solutions to automate and optimise business processes.

Yann entered the finance industry in 2002 as a consultant, managing risk and accounting IT projects for banks and asset managers. In 2006, he joined Ecofin Ltd as Head of Risk, overseeing $6bn of AUM across multiple strategies and developing the firm's core order and portfolio management systems. In 2013, he founded Assylias, a consultancy that designs custom software solutions for asset managers. In 2014, he became Chief Risk Officer at Perdurance Asset Management.

Yann holds an MSc in Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris and the FRM certification.

Yannik Bernachot joined RAM AI in April 2012 and is currently employed as a Middle Officer. Yannik is in charge of all rebates and register activities, he also assists the sales team on a daily basis and liaises with clients for all rebates-related queries.

Yannik Bernachot started his career as part of the Middle Office department at Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch in 2008. He then joined RAM AI in April 2012.

Yannik Bernachot has received a certificate in Private Banking in 2009 and a certificate in Banking Operations in 2011 from the ISFB (Institut Supérieur de Formation Bancaire). He also holds the CAIA (‘Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst’) since 2014.

As Head of Legal & Compliance and General Secretary, Laurent is primarily responsible for the legal and compliance framework and support of RAM AI’s global asset management activities, and is general secretary to the Board of the company. He provides oversight on all regulatory and compliance matters related to strategic planning, business development and operational improvement. He is also responsible for legal coverage and documentation of OTC derivatives, cleared derivatives, futures, repo and prime brokerage, as well as legal coverage of trading in equities and bonds.

Before joining RAM in 2011, the positions Laurent held included international legal roles with Union Bancaire Privée (UBP), Nationwide, Banque Privée Edouard Constant and a private business law firm.

Laurent was awarded a University degree in law (Bachelor and Master) from UCL (Belgium) and a post-grade LLM in business law from the University of Geneva. Besides French, Laurent speaks fluent English, Italian and Dutch.

Natacha Chenais joined RAM AI in July 2022 and is currently the Deputy Head of Legal & Compliance. She covers legal and compliance matters, particularly those related to the company’s investment management, distribution and foreign fund representation activities.

Natacha Chenais began her career in 2011 as a Compliance Officer at Edmond de Rothschild Group, focusing initially on asset management and later advancing within the Group Compliance division until 2022.

Natacha holds a Master’s degree in International Law and International Security. Throughout her career, she has enhanced her compliance expertise through various advanced diplomas and certifications, notably earning a Certificate in Advanced Studies in Compliance Management from the Centre for Banking and Financial Law at the University of Geneva in 2015.

Rodolphe de Tervarent joined RAM Active Investments in April 2022 and is currently Head of Risk.

His prior experience includes Head of Risk Asia at Maven Securities, Vice President at Nomura Prime Brokerage, and several years as part of the Risk team at Arrowgrass Capital in London.

In 2007, he graduated with Honours from Oxford Brookes University. He is also a CFA Charterholder, and retains the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) Certification.
