AI in Finance Geneva Lunch Presentation [ENG]

In November, we had the pleasure to host the first event of our new ‘AI in Finance’ series, which aims to give the floor to Finance and Machine Learning specialists to discuss current trends and developments within the industry.

Our lunch presentation, ‘Disruptive Machine Learning in Text, Vision & Time-Series,’ took place in Geneva and featured François Fleuret, head of the Machine Learning Group and Professor at the University of Geneva and Ecole Polytechnique of Lausanne (EPFL). He introduced the fundamentals of Machine Learning, how it's trained, its evolution and how it's used across different industries such as Medicine, Gaming, Engineering, etc.

Emmanuel Hauptmann, Partner and Equity Fund Manager, presented RAM AI’s applications of AI in finance, such as utilising Deep Learning and Large Language Models to extract and analyse financial text, combine information and alpha signals from different data sources and improve predictions with custom neural networks.
